Liverpool FC hopeful striker will sign new contract – report
Liverpool FC are "optimistic" that Divock Origi will sign a new contract with them, say reports

Liverpool FC are “optimistic” that Divock Origi will sign a new contract to stay at the club, according to reports in the British media.
ESPN FC is reporting that the Merseyside outfit are hopeful that the striker will agree to sign a new contract offered to him this summer.
The same story says that talks with the Belgium international have been progressing over the last few weeks and that the striker recognises that there will be plenty of opportunities to feature next season.
It is also claimed in the same article that Liverpool FC do not want to cash in and sell Origi this summer, and they are instead focused on trying to tie him down to a new deal.
Origi scored some decisive goals for the Reds last season, including his double in their dramatic 4-0 win over FC Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals.
However, the 24-year-old found his playing time in the Premier League to be restricted, with the striker having only started four games for the Reds in the top flight last season.
He also came off the bench to score Liverpool FC’s second goal in their 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final last month.
