Emre Can sends message to Liverpool FC fans ahead of Newcastle United clash
Emre Can talks up the importance of Liverpool FC staying focused ahead of their home clash with Newcastle United

Emre Can has warned his Liverpool FC team-mates that they must stay focused as they try and finish as highly as possible in the Premier League.
Can opened the scoring for Liverpool FC in the 4-1 win over West Ham United at Anfield on Saturday as he added to goals scored by Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Liverpool FC have been in fine form in recent weeks and they have also all but booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League by beating FC Porto 5-0 earlier this month.
The Reds now turn their attentions towards their next Premier League game – a home clash against Newcastle United at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
And the Germany midfielder insists that he and his team-mates are taking nothing for granted ahead of their clash with the Magpies.
Speaking to BBC Sport after Saturday’s win, Can said: “It’s a really important [time of the season].
“The next game is next week against Newcastle at home again – and we want to win that as well. We have to look from game to game and our aim is to win every game.”
Can’s future at Liverpool FC remains unclear. The midfielder’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season but he is yet to sign a new deal with the Merseyside outfit.
As the clock ticks down until the end of the season, it seems increasingly likely that Can could be set to leave Liverpool FC on a free transfer in the summer.
