Jordan Henderson has his say on Liverpool FC's 4-0 win over FC Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final

Jordan Henderson hailed an “unbelievable” night after Liverpool FC claimed an incredible 4-0 win over FC Barcelona to reach the Champions League final.
The Reds were ranked as outsiders to progress to the Champions League final after they suffered a 3-0 loss to FC Barcelona in the first leg of the semi-final tie at Camp Nou last week.
However, two goals from Divock Origi and two from substitue Georginio Wijnaldum secured a remarkable comeback for the Reds as they managed to secure their place in the Champions League final.
It ended up being one of the most memorable European nights at Anfield in history as they managed to thrash the La Liga champions on Merseyside.
And Reds captain Henderson was clearly delighted to have played his part in helping the Reds to secure a memorable victory.
Speaking in an interview with BT Sport after the game, Henderson said: “Unbelievable.
“I don’t think many people gave us a chance. Before the game, we knew it would be difficult but it was still possible for us. The belief we’ve got in the changing room is amazing, as you can see.
“We knew, at Anfield, we could pull something special off. It’s unbelievable. With the fans, all the lads, it’s a special night at Anfield like we’ve seen before – but this one is right up there with the best.”
He continued: “We wanted to start fast. We got an early goal, which helped, but it wasn’t just the goal, it was the overall getting after them and putting them under pressure.
“They’re a fantastic team but we knew if we did everything, showed a bit of personality and showed heart, we’d have a chance to get something.
“I can’t speak highly enough of the players, the manager, the staff… everybody – unbelievable.”
Liverpool FC will now focus on their final Premier League game of the season, a home clash against Wolves on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds are currently one point behind leaders Manchester City heading into the final round of Premier League fixtures on Sunday afternoon.
