Steven Gerrard: What I really think of Jordan Henderson at Liverpool FC
Steven Gerrard believes that Jordan Henderson is proving himself as a key player in the Liverpool FC midfield

Steven Gerrard believes that Jordan Henderson is proving himself as a key player in the Liverpool FC midfield this season.
The Reds captain has been in solid form this term and he helped Liverpool FC to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday evening with a brilliant 5-0 victory over Watford at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah netted four goals as Roberto Firmino also got on the score-sheet to help the Reds bounce back from their disappointing defeat by Manchester United last weekend.
Henderson has been a regular fixture in the first team at Liverpool FC this season, scoring one goal and making one assist in 20 Premier League games for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
And former Liverpool FC captain Gerrard has claimed that the midfielder has developed into a key player for the Reds alongside Georginio Wijnaldum and Emre Can.
Speaking to BT Sport on Saturday, Gerrard said: “I think Liverpool’s midfield is stronger having Jordan Henderson in it.
“With Wijnaldum and Can, it’s a very powerful midfield.
“It’s important to mention though, that if there’s no Lallana or Coutinho in those three, one of those players has to take a little bit of risk with their passing, because they’re very similar as a three.
“It’s important that they do try and pass forward and provide assists for the front three.”
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on 31 March.
The Merseyside outfit are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they bid to try and secure a top-four finish for the second season running under Jurgen Klopp.
