Ian Rush predicts where Liverpool FC are going to finish
Ian Rush looks ahead to Liverpool FC's chances of challenging Man City this season

Ian Rush believes that Liverpool FC are capable of being Manchester City’s closest Premier League title challengers this season.
The Reds earned plenty of praise for their strong performances last season as Jurgen Klopp’s men ended up in fourth place in the Premier League table and reached the Champions League final.
Liverpool FC ended up losing the final 3-1 to Real Madrid but the Merseyside outfit still earned plenty of new admirers for their free-flowing attacking football.
Klopp is still aiming to guide Liverpool FC to their first major trophy since his appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.
The Reds have strengthened this summer, with Liverpool FC having brought in Fabinho, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson Becker ahead of the new campaign.
And Liverpool FC legend Rush seems to think that the Reds have what it takes to be able to challenge Manchester City’s dominance at the top of the table next term.
Speaking on the Second Captains podcast, Rush said: “We need to win a trophy. It doesn’t matter what trophy… Liverpool could run Man City real close.”
Liverpool FC will kick off their new Premier League campaign with a home clash against West Ham United at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
It remains to be seen whether the Reds will bring in any more players before the close of the transfer window on Thursday.
