Ian Wright raves about Liverpool FC star ahead of Burnley trip
Ian Wright heaps praise on Mohamed Salah following his sparkling form for Liverpool FC this season
Ian Wright lavished praise on Mohamed Salah after the Liverpool FC midfielder continued his brilliant form against Leicester City on Saturday.
The Egypt international has been in sensational form for the Reds this term since his transfer to Anfield from Roma in the summer.
Indeed, Salah hit his 17th goal of the season in the Premier League as the Reds came from a goal down to beat Leicester City 2-1 at Anfield.
The 25-year-old has been earning rave reviews for his strong displays for the Reds in recent weeks.
And Arsenal legend Wright has likened some of Salah’s play to that of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
Speaking on Match of the Day on Saturday night, Wright said: “I’m not saying he’s as good as who I’m going to say.
“[But] he reminds me of Messi, the scampering way he plays. He gives me a Messi vibe. He’s short, his style. He’s got a Messi vibe.”
Salah will be expecting to feature for Liverpool FC when the Reds return to Premier League action on Saturday with a trip to Burnley.
Liverpool FC are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table as they look to secure Champions League qualification for the second season running under Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds have already made their first signing of the January transfer window after landing Virgil van Dijk in a big-money deal from Southampton.
