James Milner comments on his Liverpool FC future
James Milner delivers the latest update on his current contractual situation at Liverpool FC

James Milner has revealed that he remains in the dark about his Liverpool FC future.
The 33-year-old has been a regular and important fixture in Liverpool FC’s team in recent seasons under Jurgen Klopp and he played a key role in helping the Reds to finish second and win the Champions League last term.
Milner has just entered into the final 12 months of his contract at Liverpool FC and that means that he could end up leaving the club on a free transfer next summer.
It is understood that preliminary talks have taken place between the club and the player, but the Reds are still to formally offer the former Leeds United man a new deal.
Now, the player himself has revealed that he is unsure about his current situation at Anfield as the clock ticks down on his deal.
Speaking in an interview quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Milner said: “As it stands, last year we spoke to the club and asked them if they wanted to do something and they said not at that time.
“We haven’t heard anything since, so that’s where we are at.”
Milner scored five goals and made four assists in 31 Premier League appearances for Liverpool FC last season as they finished a point behind champions Manchester City in the table.
The Reds will be hoping to go one better this term as they bid to lift the Premier League trophy for the first time in their history.
