Jamie Carragher explains why he has been so impressed by Mohamed Salah's start to life at Liverpool FC
Jamie Carragher has claimed that no signing at any Premier League club has made a better start to their career in England than Mohamed Salah has done at Liverpool FC.
The Egypt international has been in fine form for the Merseyside outfit this term since his move to Anfield from Roma in the summer transfer window last year.
Salah has been one of the best attacking players in the Premier League so far this season and he had scored 23 goals and made eight assists in the top flight heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.
The 25-year-old looks on course to fire Liverpool FC to a top-four finish in the Premier League as the Reds seek another year in the Champions League next season.
And Liverpool FC legend Carragher has admitted that he has been hugely impressed by the way Salah has settled into life at Anfield.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Carragher said: “Not so long ago I suggested no Liverpool signing has ever made a better start to their Premier League career than Salah. Now I will go further.
“No signing at any English club has made a better start to their Premier League career than Salah.”
Liverpool FC will return to Champions League action on Tuesday night when they host FC Porto in the return leg of their last 16 clash.
The Reds all but booked their place in the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite club competition when they beat FC Porto 5-0 in the first leg last month.
