Joe Gomez reveals Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC pre-season team talk
Joe Gomez lifts the lid on Jurgen Klopp's message for his Liverpool FC squad upon their return to training

Jurgen Klopp has told his Liverpool FC players that they have unfinished business this season after having missed out on the Premier League title last term.
The Reds came within a whiskey of winning the Premier League trophy last season but they ended up a point behind Manchester United in the top-flight table.
Liverpool FC lost just one game in the Premier League and they pushed Manchester City all the way in the title race last season.
The Merseyside outfit ended up with a trophy from the campaign, however, after they beat Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final last month.
The Reds are back in pre-season training and are already looking ahead to next season as they look to try and win the Premier League trophy for the first time.
And Gomez has now revealed that Klopp has already issued a rallying cry to his players upon their return to training.
Asked if Klopp said there is a sense of unfinished business from last season, Gomez told Liverpool FC’s website: “Definitely.
“He said that this morning in the meeting. We can be happy and proud of the achievement but we’ve got so much more work to do and so many ways to improve as well.
“The Premier League was so close and I think that’s all the motivation we need, that we were so close but so far at the same time in the fact that we didn’t get it.
“It’s something we want to get this year and to do so we can’t get complacent or dwell on what happened last season, we have to hit the ground running again now.”
Liverpool FC have been earning plenty of praise for their fine football since Klopp’s appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.
