Jamie Carragher has admitted that he doesn’t enjoy watching Liverpool’s recent performances under Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds played out a thrilling 3-2 win against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson.

The Merseyside outfit went 2-0 up when Japan international Shinji Okazaki halved the deficit following some poor Liverpool defending at the end of the first half.

Henderson restored the visitors’s two-goal cushion but Jamie Vardy made it 3-2 before the England striker missed penalty after Reds goalkeeper Simon Mignolet brought down the attacker.

Liverpool have scored 12 goals in their opening six games in the Premier League so far this season, although the Reds have conceded 11 times which is more than any other team in the top half of the division.

Klopp’s side have been heavily criticised for their shoddy defending in the 2017-18 campaign so far to undermine some impressive attacking displays.

Former Liverpool defender Carragher lifted the lid on his emotions watching the Merseyside outfit perform under Klopp over the past few weeks.

“Watching Liverpool now is the hottest ticket in town. If Liverpool are on TV, everyone wants to watch. But if there are one set of supporters who aren’t being entertained by it, it’s the Liverpool supporters,” Klopp told Sky Sports.

“Entertainment, for me, means you enjoy it. I was watching Liverpool [against Leicester] in the pub. It goes 2-0, 3-1 but no one can relax. Everyone is still on edge.”

Liverpool attempted to sign Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk in the summer transfer window but the Saints refused to sell the Netherlands international.
