Jurgen Klopp has expressed his delight at seeing Liverpool tie up a deal to sign Mohamed Salah from Roma this summer.
The Egyptian winger was confirmed as Liverpool’s second signing last month as Klopp moved quickly to bolster his attacking options at Anfield ahead of next season.
Salah will be aiming to prove himself in the Premier League at the second time of asking after failing to impress during his spell at Chelsea before he eventually moved to Roma.
However, Klopp is clearly expecting big things from the 24-year-old winger as he prepares to welcome the midfielder to Anfield this summer.
Klopp told Liverpool’s website: “Even if people didn’t know too much about him, they [must have] watched a few videos and they are impressive.
“We have had a few talks of course, spoke to each other – he is a really nice lad. He is really looking forward to coming to Liverpool and joining us.
“He is a fantastic player, with speed.”
Liverpool are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after Klopp led the Reds to a top-four finish in the Premier League last term.
The Reds are likely to want to bring in additional reinforcements as Klopp gears up for his second full season in charge at the Merseyside club.
