Jurgen Klopp told what positions Lverpool FC need to improve
Former Rangers striker Ally McCoist says Liverpool need to sign a goalkeeper and a centre-half to have a shot at the Premier League title

Liverpool need to improve their goalkeeper and centre-half options to challenge for the title, according to Ally McCoist.
The Reds are seven points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City after a disappointing start to the 2017-18 season.
Liverpool surrounded a winning position at St James’ Park last weekend after Joselu cancelled out Philippe Coutinho’s brilliant opener.
The Newcastle forward managed to capitalise on some poor Liverpool defending to score a scrappy equaliser and deny the visitors three points.
The Merseyside outfit have already conceded 12 times in seven games in the Premier League this season to raise serious questions about Klopp’s defence.
The Liverpool boss attempted to sign Southampton club captain Virgil van Dijk in the summer but a deal failed to materialise as the Saints refused to sell.
Former Rangers and Scotland striker McCoist warned Liverpool that they need a new goalkeeper and centre-half if winning the Premier League title is going to be a realistic possibility.
“Until they address the defensive problem – goalkeepers and centre-halves, I don’t see Liverpool having the consistency to challenge in the Premier League,” McCoist told BBC Radio 5 Live.
Liverpool have never won the Premier League title but finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
The Reds signed four players in the summer transfer window but Hull City left back Andy Robertson was the only defensive signing.
