Danny Murphy sends warning to Jurgen Klopp about Liverpool FC target
The Liverpool FC legend warns Jurgen Klopp securing a top-four place is a must this season

Danny Murphy has warned Jurgen Klopp that Liverpool need to finish in the Premier League’s top four this season to avoid becoming a yo-yo club.
The Reds have made a difficult start to their second full season under Klopp following a return of 13 points from their opening eight games in the Premier League.
Liverpool were forced to settle for a frustrating goalless with Manchester United at Anfield last weekend as Klopp’s side couldn’t convert one of their 20 attempts on goal.
The Merseyside outfit have drawn their last two Premier League games ahead of this weekend’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
Liverpool signed four players in the summer transfer window but only former Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah has proven himself a big hit at Anfield in the opening months of the season so far.
Former England midfielder Murphy underlined the importance of Liverpool securing a top-four spot in the Premier League to secure a return to the Champions League for the second successive season.
“This season is huge for Klopp. Can they maintain a top-four finish?” Murphy told Sky Sports.
“They don’t want to be a yo-yo club. He needs to win some silverware although they have reached two finals.”
Liverpool finished in fourth place last term in Klopp’s first full campaign in charge of the Anfield outfit.
The German coach was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ successor in October 2015.
