Tim Sherwood: Why Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah hasn’t surprised me
The former Spurs boss opens up about Mohamed Salah's impact at Liverpool FC

Tim Sherwood has claimed that he isn’t that surprised by Mohamed Salah’s brilliant start to his Liverpool career.
The Egypt international secured a return to the Premier League back in June after Liverpool FC agreed a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma.
Salah struggled during a brief spell at Chelsea in 2014 before he was sent out on loan to Serie A side Fiorentina before moving on to the Italian capital.
The 25-year-old really built a promising reputation in European football during two seasons at AS Roma before his big-money summer switch.
Salah has made an effortless transition from Roma to Liverpool FC after the African forward scored 12 times in 14 games in the Premier League.
Indeed, the summer signing has beaten Robbie Fowler’s impressive start to his Reds career thanks to his prolific goal-scoring run.
But ex-Tottenham manager Sherwood insists he wasn’t that surprised by Salah’s spectacular start to his Liverpool FC career.
“It was less of a risk,” Sherwood told Sky Sports.
“He dipped his toe in at Chelsea. He knew what the Premier League was all about.
“Yes, he played lots of games in Serie A. He has come back and he has been unbelievable.”
Salah has scored 17 times in 21 games in all competitions so far this season to become a key member of Klopp’s team.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term to secure a return to the Champions League.
