Paul Ince makes blunt prediction about Liverpool FC in title race
Former Liverpool FC midfielder Paul Ince rules out the Merseyside outfit winning the Premier League title this season

Paul Ince has told Liverpool to forget about winning the Premier League title this season.
The Reds finished in fourth place in Jurgen Klopp’s first full season in charge at Anfield to secure a return to the Champions League.
Klopp signed four players in the summer transfer window but the Merseyside outfit didn’t recruit a new centre-half despite their issues at the back.
Liverpool have already conceded 15 times in five games on the road in the Premier League this term to raise concerns about Klopp’s defence.
The 18-time English champions started the weekend in ninth place ahead of their Premier League clash against promoted club Huddersfield Town.
Former Liverpool midfielder Ince told Klopp and his squad to forget about challenging for the Premier League title this season.
“I hate to say this, having played for Liverpool, but their title hopes are completely over this season,” Ince told Paddy Power’s website.
“It’s time to be realistic and admit that any hopes they had of winning the league are over.”
Liverpool will return to Champions League action on Wednesday night when the Reds welcome Slovenian side Maribor to Anfield.
The Merseyside outfit were 7-0 winners against Maribor in Slovenia earlier this month to record their biggest-ever away win in Europe.
Liverpool signed AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah, Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Chelsea teenager Dominic Solanke and Hull City defender Andy Robertson in the summer transfer window.
