Jurgen Klopp sends clear message to Liverpool FC fans about summer signing

Jurgen Klopp is backing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to prove his critics wrong by stepping up his game at Liverpool in the coming weeks and months.
The England international has come under fire for his performances since his arrival at Anfield from Arsenal on transfer deadline day.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has largely been limited to substitute appearances for the Reds since his move last month and he has failed to produce consistent displays for Klopp’s side.
The forward came on as a second half substitute during Liverpool’s goalless draw with Manchester United at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday and looked sharp.
And Liverpool boss Klopp is fully expecting to see Oxlade-Chamberlain come good at Anfield as he continues to adapt to life at his new club.
Speaking at a news conference on Monday, Klopp said: “I cannot say how happy I was to see Chambo playing like this [against United].
“I said he needed a little bit of time and my most positive thing was that finally he has arrived, but it always takes time.
“I really loved the performance when he came on. He is a big signing for us, obviously, but a fast player like him needs the circumstances to perform so he needed time.
“So far it has been okay but not what we know he is able to do. But then Saturday, bang – comes on, uses his speed, really spot on, it was a very nice sign. I loved to see it.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain will be hoping to be involved when Liverpool return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a crunch clash against Tottenham at Wembley.
The Reds are aiming to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after their draw with Manchester United left them nine points behind leaders Manchester City in the top flight table after eight games.
