Liverpool FC sent blunt warning about coping against Man United
John Aldridge says Liverpool FC face a serious challenge against Manchester United on Saturday

John Aldridge believes that Liverpool will face a serious challenge against a physical Manchester United team at Anfield on Saturday.
The Reds head into the game looking to kick-start their campaign after a stuttering start to the season for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Liverpool have only won three of their opening seven Premier League games to leave them in seventh place in the table and seven points behind leaders Manchester City.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have been in superb form under Jose Mourinho so far this season, and have won six of their opening seven games in the top flight to leave them in second place.
Jose Mourinho got the players he was after in the summer transfer window as Manchester United completed deals to sign Nemanja Matic, Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku.
The Red Devils look as if they will be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season.
And Liverpool legend Aldridge has warned the Reds that they will have their work cut out against Manchester United this weekend.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Aldridge said: “Romelu Lukaku, Eric Bailly, Nemanja Matic, Zlatan Ibrahimovic – it’s clear what Mourinho wants; a powerful, physical team that can battle and scrap with anyone.
“That’s a challenge for Liverpool, and one they’ll have to overcome first and foremost. If they want to play, they’ll have to earn it.”
Liverpool head into the game on the back of their 1-1 draw with Newcastle United at St James’ Park before the international break.
