Kenny Dalglish: Liverpool FC signing is so exciting, he makes defenders panic
Kenny Dalglish has been delighted by Mohamed Salah's start to life as a Liverpool FC player
Kenny Dalglish has lavished praise on Mohamed Salah following his fast start to life at Liverpool.
The Egypt international signed for the Reds in the summer transfer window from Serie A side Roma after a failed spell at Chelsea and he has been one of the Reds’ top performers.
Indeed, Salah has scored four goals and made one assist in seven Premier League games for Jurgen Klopp’s men so far this season.
Liverpool fans will be hoping to see Salah in top form for the Reds when the Merseyside outfit host Manchester United in their next Premier League game at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime.
And Liverpool legend Daglish has been delighted by what he has seen from Salah in a Liverpool shirt so far this term.
Speaking to BetStars, Dalglish said: “Mo Salah has been the most exciting signing of the summer for Liverpool.
“He’s come in after a fantastic season last year with Roma. Obviously some people over here had already seen him play whilst he was at Chelsea but he’s come in and scored a good few goals and has looked really threatening, he’s really quick.
“He takes it up to people and they start to panic. He can go inside or out but he obviously prefers it on his left foot.”
Liverpool head into Saturday’s clash with Manchester United in seventh place in the Premier League table and seven points behind leaders Manchester City.
It has been something of a stuttering start to the new campaign for Klopp’s side but that have showcased their attacking prowess with a 4-0 victory over Arsenal at Anfield back in August.
Klopp is aiming for his side to challenge for the title this season after they finished fourth in the Premier League last term.
