Paul Merson accuses Liverpool FC of turning into Arsenal
Paul Merson delivers his verdict on Liverpool FC's form under Jurgen Klopp in the Premier League this season

Paul Merson has claimed that Liverpool FC are “turning into Arsenal” – a brilliant attacking side who have no chance of winning the Premier League.
The Merseyside outfit have been earning plenty of praise for their strong attacking performances under Jurgen Klopp this season after the German coach begun his second full season in charge at the club.
Liverpool FC have been at their free-scoring best in recent weeks and they thrashed Spartak Moscow 7-0 at Anfield in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
However, former Arsenal star Merson doubts whether the Reds actually have what it takes to win the Premier League, despite their impressive attacking form.
Ex-midfielder Merson wrote in his column for the Daily Star before last weekend’s round of games: “Liverpool are breathtaking going forward but they are turning into Arsenal – a team you love to watch but who have no chance of winning the league.
“If you were a centre-half, you would hate playing Liverpool. But if you were a centre-forward, you would absolutely love it. They are blowing teams away at times.
“But you can’t win the league playing like that. You will look good and you will win loads of fans, but you won’t win loads of trophies.”
Liverpool FC are waiting to discover who will be their opponents in the last 16 of the Champions League when the draw is made in Nyon on Monday.
The Reds booked their place in the next round thanks to their thumping 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Klopp’s side are now preparing to return to Premier League action on Wednesday night when they take on West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.
