Rio Ferdinand waxes lyrical over Philippe Coutinho after Liverpool FC's thrilling victory over Leicester on Saturday
Rio Ferdinand lavished praise on Philippe Coutinho after he was crowned man of the match in Liverpool’s thrilling 3-2 win over Leicester City on Saturday evening.
The Brazilian playmaker was at his brilliant best against the Foxes as Jurgen Klopp’s men claimed a vital three points and returned to winning ways in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old then doubled Liverpool’s advantage with a brilliant free-kick in the first half.
Jordan Henderson’s second half goal ended up securing the three points for Klopp’s men and Ferdinand was full of praise for Coutinho after the final whistle.
And former Manchester United defender Ferdinand was full of praise for Coutinho after the final whistle.
Ferdinand said on BT Sport: “Coutinho is the X-factor. You saw moments of pure brilliance in that game.
“He’s a player that Liverpool should feel very blessed to have in their team.”
The former defender also heaped praise on Coutinho for his brilliant free-kick in the first half.
He added: “It justifies why they kept him. It’s an exquisite free-kick. It beats Kasper Schmeichel hands down and the execution is what it’s all about.
“This is the reason why Barcelona went so hard to get him. Today, he was fantastic.”
