Pundit: What will happen with Philippe Coutinho at Liverpool FC in January
Shaun Goater explains why he thinks Philippe Coutinho could leave Liverpool FC in the January transfer window

Shaun Goater is tipping Philippe Coutinho to leave Liverpool FC and sign for Barcelona in the January transfer window.
The Brazilian playmaker’s future has been a relentless source of speculation in the last few months after he was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer.
However, Liverpool FC held firm in the summer months and refused to let the playmaker leave Anfield.
Coutinho has since been in great form for Liverpool FC and has scored seven goals and made six assists in 13 Premier League games so far this term.
There is now bound to be plenty of speculation about Coutinho’s future at Liverpool FC as the January transfer window approaches.
And former Manchester City star Goater feels that Liverpool FC could indeed look to cash-in on Coutinho in the coming window, especially after the big-money signing of Virgil van Dijk last week.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Goater said: “I think Coutinho could go [in January] because it will help to balance the books.
“They could potentially get another attacking player in if he does.
“If he doesn’t go in this window, I’m more than certain he’ll end up going in the summer.
“He’s a phenomenal player and is a beautiful player to watch in how he plays and performs.”
Meanwhile, Coutinho will be expecting to feature for the Reds when they return to Premier League action on Saturday with a home clash against Leicester City at Anfield.
The Reds are fourth in the Premier League as they look to secure Champions League qualification for the second season running.
