Martin Keown explains how Liverpool FC can beat Real Madrid
Martin Keown issues his backing for Liverpool FC ahead of the Champions League final against Real Madrid

Martin Keown believes that Liverpool FC are one of the few teams capable of beating Real Madrid in the Champions League final this weekend.
The Reds head into the game looking to dethrone the Spanish giants, who have won Europe’s elite club competition for the last two seasons running.
The Merseyside outfit have been earning plenty of new admirers thanks to their brilliant attacking football under Jurgen Klopp this season.
Liverpool FC have beaten the likes of Manchester City, FC Porto and AS Roma on their way towards setting up their showdown with Real Madrid this weekend.
Although Arsenal legend Keown places Real Madrid as the favourites to win the title, he believes that Liverpool FC do indeed have a great chance of causing an upset this weekend.
However, he also admits that Real Madrid’s recent dominance of the competition is going to give the Spanish side a big advantage come Saturday.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Keown said: “If you could pick one English team to try to dethrone Real Madrid it would be Liverpool.
“With their front three, they have the necessary tools to win this game.
“But you cannot underestimate the advantage of having played in three of the last four finals.
“The Real Madrid players will be much more comfortable with the pressure of the occasion. This is almost becoming an annual fixture for them.”
Liverpool FC head into the game looking to win their first piece of silverware since Klopp’s appointment as Reds boss back in October 2015.
The Reds have already booked their place in the Champions League for next season via a top-four finish in the Premier League this term.
