Jamie Redknapp hails Liverpool FC’s unsung hero
Jamie Redknapp says Liverpool FC star James Milner is on the top of his game this season

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp believes that Liverpool FC midfielder James Milner is at the top of his game after starring in the team’s 2-1 victory against Leicester City on Saturday.
The English stalwart provided the assist with a perfectly executed corner for Roberto Firmino to head home Liverpool FC’s second goal of the game at the King Power Stadium, which turned out be the winner.
Sadio Mane opened the scoring for the visitors beforehand and Jurgen Klopp’s men were in total control of the game for large periods, only conceding after Alisson’s inexplicable error in the second half.
According to former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp, Milner is a vital part of Klopp’s team and he continues to improve under the German’s stewardship.
He told the Daily Mail: “It was great to see James Milner equal David Beckham’s tally of 80 assists in the Premier League.
“James is an exemplary professional who is incredibly fit. Despite the arrivals at Liverpool of Naby Keita and Fabinho, Milner has started all four games this season. It shows just how much Jurgen Klopp values his contribution.
“After every match for Liverpool he is near the top of the charts for distance run and was their most creative player in the Champions League last season. He is playing better than ever.”
After the international break, Liverpool FC will face their toughest test of the new Premier League season so far when they travel to Wembley to face Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham.
