Roberto Firmino would like to see Liverpool FC come up against English opponents in the last eight of the Champions League

Roberto Firmino is hoping that Liverpool FC are pitted against Premier League opponents in the Champions League last eight.
The Merseyside outfit booked their place in the quarter-finals following a 5-0 aggregate win over FC Porto in the last 16.
Firmino got on the score sheet in Liverpool FC’s impressive 5-0 victory at Estadio do Dragao last month to put the Reds in a commanding position.
Manchester City joined Liverpool FC in the Champions League last-eight draw following a 6-2 aggregate win over Basel.
Tottenham Hotspur, though, suffered a 4-3 loss to Serie A giants Juventus after the Italian side came from behind in the second leg at Wembley.
Manchester United will welcome Sevilla to Old Trafford in the second leg next week, while Chelsea FC will make the daunting trip to Barcelona.
Brazilian forward Firmino wants Liverpool FC to be pitted against a Premier League rival in the quarter-finals.
“Yes, we’d like a draw against an English club,” Firmino is quoted as saying by Metro.
“We have shown in the past few seasons we can beat all the English clubs. Our record is good against them.
“We feel we have played well against the top English clubs and shown we can beat them. But we are not afraid of anyone in the draw.”
Firmino has scored 21 goals in 38 games in all competitions in the current campaign to produce his best return for a season at Liverpool FC.
The South American forward moved to Liverpool FC in a £29m deal from Bundesliga giants Hoffenheim in the 2015 summer transfer window.
