Sadio Mane reveals his delight at Liverpool FC's strong start to the new season

Sadio Mane has revealed his delight at Liverpool FC’s strong start to the new Premier League season after he helped to fire them to a 4-0 win over West Ham United on Sunday.
Mane scored twice to add to goals from Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge as Jurgen Klopp’s men produced an impressive display in front of their home fans at Anfield.
The victory lifted the Reds up into top spot in the Premier League table as the Merseyside outfit look to try and establish themselves as one of the main contenders for the title this season.
Mane produced a brilliant attacking display for the Merseyside outfit and the Senegal international was clearly pleased with the way the Reds have started the new campaign.
Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website after the game, Mane said: “It’s a good time for us.
“Sometimes it’s difficult to start the season but we started very well in pre-season, we won almost every game. We have started the season great and everybody is happy. We’re going to try to keep the same level and keep going.
“We played great football today, we created many chances. We defended as a team, compact, and tried to win every battle. We scored four goals and we deserved to win.
“The most important thing was the three points and we got them, so we’re very pleased.”
Liverpool FC will be aiming to be one of the main challengers for the Premier League this season after they finished in fourth place last term.
The Merseyside outfit have not won a trophy since Klopp’s appointment at Anfield back in October 2015 as Brendan Rodgers successor.
They reached the Champions League final last season but ended up losing 3-1 to Real Madrid in Kiev back in May.
