Edinson Cavani sends message to Liverpool FC star
Edinson Cavani explains why he sought out Mohamed Salah after Uruguay's win over Egypt at the World Cup

Edinson Cavani has revealed that he asked for Mohamed Salah’s shirt because his children are fans of the Liverpool FC star.
Salah was one of European football’s top performing players last season and he earned huge amounts of praise for his strong performances for Liverpool FC as he helped them to finish fourth in the Premier League and reach the FA Cup final.
The 25-year-old also won the Premier League golden boot and netted 44 goals in all competitions for the Reds following his move to Anfield from AS Roma last summer.
Salah is currently working his way back to full fitness while on international duty with Egypt at the World Cup in Russia.
And the Egypt international had to watch on as Uruguay claimed a 1-0 win over his side in their group stage opener.
Cavani went to seek out Salah after the final whistle and he has now explained why he wanted to get the shirt of the Liverpool FC star.
Cavani is quoted as saying by Metro: “I took Salah’s shirt as a gift for my children, who also see him as a star.”
Salah has been working his way back towards full fitness after having picked up a shoulder injury in the first half of the Champions League final against Real Madrid last month.
