Jurgen Klopp told 25-year-old as important to Liverpool FC as Mohamed Salah
Spurs legend Garth Crooks underlines the importance of Sadio Mane to Liverpool FC this term

Sadio Mane is just as important to Liverpool FC as Mohamed Salah, Garth Crooks says.
The Reds are in a strong position in the Premier League table following a five-game unbeaten run in the English top flight.
Liverpool FC eased to a 2-0 win over Newcastle United at Anfield last weekend after Mohamed Salah broke the deadlock with his 24th Premier League goal of the 2017-18 season.
Senegal international Mane secured three points after he netted for the 14th time this term to build upon his impressive performances in recent weeks.
Salah’s incredible goal return has overshadowed Mane’s impressive performances in the Liverpool FC team during his second season at Anfield.
However, Mane’s performances haven’t gone unnoticed by Spurs legend Crooks after the BBC Sport pundit reserved special praise for the African forward.
“The move that gave rise to Sadio Mane’s 14th goal of the season was pure craftwork,” Crooks told BBC Sport.
“The actual finish by Mane was sheer class. The Senegal international has had to play second fiddle to Mohamed Salah for most of the season but that won’t bother the west African. Mane has played as big a part as the Egyptian in Liverpool’s success.”
Mane moved to Liverpool FC in a £25m deal from Southampton in the 2016 summer transfer window.
The African forward scored 13 times in the Premier League last term to help Liverpool FC secure a return to the Champions League after a two-season absence.
Liverpool FC will make the trip to their bitter rivals Manchester United in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
