Ian Rush sends blunt Liverpool FC warning to Mo Salah
Ian Rush says Mo Salah will have to up his game for Liverpool FC next season

Ian Rush has told Mohamed Salah that he will have to step his game up at Liverpool FC next season.
The Egypt international was one of European football’s top performing players last term as he scored 44 goals in all competitions in his first campaign at Liverpool FC following his move from AS Roma.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term and without a trophy after Salah also helped the Reds reach the Champions League final.
The 26-year-old’s campaign ended in disappointment when he was forced off injured during the Champions League final defeat by Real Madrid.
Salah will now be hoping to enjoy a second successful season at Anfield as he prepares for the new campaign.
And Liverpool FC legend Rush has told Salah that he must continue to demand high standards of himself as he prepares for the new season.
Speaking on the Second Captains podcast, Rush said: “Records are there to be beaten. If he beats it, he deserves it.
“When I scored the 47 goals, I won three trophies. People saying it is a one-off season. I disagree with that. He has to up his game.
“Salah, Firmino and Mane will always score goals.”
Liverpool FC will kick off their new Premier League campaign when they take on West Ham United at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds are still looking to win their first trophy since Klopp’s appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.
