Simon Mignolet admits that he will have to consider his long-term future at Liverpool FC

Simon Mignolet has admitted that he has been considering his future at Liverpool FC after seemingly failing to win the trust of Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
The Belgian goalkeeper has been Klopp’s favoured shot-stopper for most of this season but he was dropped for the crucial Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday and replaced by Loris Karius.
Most Liverpool FC fans would agree that neither Mignolet nor Karius have been able to make the number one shirt their own under Klopp.
The goalkeeping situation could well be a problem position that Klopp may look into in the summer transfer window.
Now though, Mignolet has admitted that he may have to consider his long-term future at the Merseyside outfit if he is unable to hold down a regular spot in the first team at the club.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Mignolet said: “After the game against Burnley I had a conversation with the coach, among other things about his ongoing rotation. I did not find that a healthy situation for a goalkeeper.
“My place on the bench against City confirmed his words. I am not satisfied with that (being dropped) but you have to respect a decision of the trainer.”
Liverpool FC return to Premier League action on Monday night with a trip to face Swansea City in the top flight.
The Reds’ thrilling 4-3 victory over Manchester City on Sunday lifted them above Chelsea and up into third place in the Premier League table as Klopp’s men chase Champions League qualification for the second season running.
