Liverpool, Tottenham interested in signing top 21-year-old midfielder – report
Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are all interested in signing Thomas Lemar this summer, say reports
Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal are all keen on signing Thomas Lemar from Monaco this summer, according to reports in France.
French outlet Telefoot is reporting that the three English clubs are keen to try and sign the 21-year-old midfielder ahead of the 2017-18 season.
“Thomas Lemar is attracting interest from three big clubs in the Premier League: Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham,” the media outlet wrote on Twitter.
Lemar has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent days but it would seem that both Liverpool and Spurs are keen to land him – and they can offer the midfielder Champions League football next season.
Arsenal missed out on a spot in next season’s Champions League after they ended up fifth in the Premier League table.
Lemar was a consistent performer for Monaco last season, as he scored nine goals and made 10 assists from midfield in 34 Ligue 1 games to help his side win the French title.
Liverpool continue to be linked with a host of players this summer, but the Reds have so far only completed the signings of Mohamed Salah and Dominic Solanke.
However, Jurgen Klopp is likely to want to significantly bolster his squad this summer as he prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season following their fourth-placed finish last term.
