Jamie Carragher has warned Jurgen Klopp that he will have his work cut out in recruiting quality players for Liverpool this summer.
The Reds are on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Klopp prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next term.
Liverpool have been linked with a host of new players this summer but have thus far only completed the capture of young striker Dominic Solanke from Chelsea.
Klopp will be eager to bolster his squad with some quality additions as he looks for his team to compete on four fronts next season.
However, former Liverpool star Carragher admits that it is not easy to find quality additions as the Reds begin to turn their attentions towards next season.
Carragher told Liverpool’s website: “It’s not easy to get that right, picking the right players at the right time is a real skill.
“And it will be huge, especially with Champions League football in midweek if we get in there.”
Liverpool secured a fourth-placed finish in Klopp’s first full campaign in charge last term.
The Reds will need to make it through a qualifying tie in August to secure their place in the group stage of the Champions League, however.
