Virgil van Dijk praises new Liverpool FC signing
Virgil van Dijk admits he's looking forward to working with Alisson at Liverpool FC this season

Virgil van Dijk has admitted that he is already enjoying working with Alisson Becker at Liverpool FC.
The Brazilian goalkeeper ended up being Liverpool FC’s final signing of the summer transfer window as Jurgen Klopp moved to bring the shot-stopper to Anfield from AS Roma.
Alisson made his Premier League debut for the Reds as he kept a clean sheet in Liverpool FC’s impressive 4-0 thrashing of West Ham United at Anfield on Sunday.
The shot-stopper was brought to Anfield after Loris Karius was widely criticised for his nightmare performance in the Champions League final against Real Madrid back in May.
Alisson will be hoping to forge a strong understanding with the Liverpool FC defence, including the likes of Van Dijk, this season.
And the Netherlands defender already feels that he has been adapting well to playing alongside his new team-mate at Anfield.
Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website, Van Dijk said: “We speak a lot. He’s very vocal and that helps. It helps me and everyone in the backline. I think his presence is very good as well.
“He has a lot of qualities on the ball that help us playing. We’ve worked on [our relationship] the whole pre-season and we’ll keep practising. There’s still a lot to do.
“It’s just one game. We had a good pre-season with good results and games where we’ve played very well.
“But we can do a lot better and it’s just the start. I think the key is we need to be very consistent and do it every game.”
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action on Monday night when they take on Crystal Palace in the top flight at Selhurst Park.
The Merseyside outfit are still aiming to win their first trophy under Klopp since his appointment as the club’s new manager back in 2015.
