Michael Owen states his prediction for Liverpool FC v Porto
The Liverpool FC legend is confident Jurgen Klopp's men will beat FC Porto over two legs with help from the Anfield crowd

Michael Owen is confident the Anfield crowd can help Liverpool FC to beat FC Porto and reach their first Champions League quarter-final since 2009.
The Merseyside outfit finished top of their Champions League group to secure a place in the last-16 draw after Liverpool FC were impressive 7-0 winners against Russian side Spartak Moscow at Anfield to secure their place in the knockout stage.
Liverpool FC scored 23 times in their six Champions League games in Group F to become the most prolific Premier League club in the group stage in the competition’s history.
Jurgen Klopp’s men netted six times against Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim in the Champions League playoff round to secure their place in the group stage thanks to a 6-3 aggregate win.
The 18-time English champions are unbeaten in the Champions League this term and Liverpool FC have won three of their four fixtures at Anfield in Europe this term.
Indeed, Klopp’s side have scored 16 goals in four home fixtures in Europe’s premier club competition to worry FC Porto ahead of the return leg of the Champions League last-16 clash on 6 March.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Klopp’s side to beat FC Porto with help from their home supporters in the second leg at Anfield.
“Of any team, I think the advantage of playing at home second lies with Liverpool. That atmosphere at Anfield,” Owen told BT Sport.
“It’s important for this leg and hopefully future legs. If they can get teams back to Anfield then anything can happen, no matter what happens in the first legs.”
