Sadio Mane has talked up the importance of Liverpool FC challenging for the top trophies this season under Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds have made a strong start to the new campaign under the German manager, winning all three of their Premier League games to leave them top of the table.
Liverpool FC will be aiming to establish themselves as one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season, with the Reds having not won a trophy since Klopp’s appointment back in 2015.
The Merseyside outfit earned plenty of praise for their performances last season as they ended up in fourth place in the table and reached the Champions League final.
However, the Reds will now be looking to take their performances one step further and establish themselves as one of the main contenders for the Premier League this season.
And Mane has talked up the importance of Liverpool FC proving that they are able to compete for the big trophies this season.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Liverpool FC’s website, Mane said: “Of course I am hoping for trophies.
“It’s so early [in the season] to speak, but without making ourselves pressure, we are going to try to take it game by game and win them until the end.
“Then that means we are going to take everything. That is what we are wishing and looking for.”
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime when they take on Leicester City away from home.
