Reporter: AC Milan contact Liverpool FC about 29-year-old
AC Milan are interested in a deal to sign Liverpool FC defender Dejan Lovren, according to multiple reports in Italy

AC Milan have contacted Liverpool FC about signing Dejan Lovren this summer, according to Italian reporter Tancredi Palmeri.
The Croatia international spent most of the 2018-19 season on the bench after falling behind Joe Gomez and Joel Matip in the pecking order.
Gomez started the campaign alongside the world’s most expensive defender Virgil van Dijk before he suffered a serious injury at the end of November.
Lovren had a chance to cement a starting spot but fitness issues limited his game time and Matip seized his chance to shine alongside Van Dijk.
The Cameroonian defender was something of a surprise package as he helped Liverpool FC to keep the best defensive record in the division.
Matip completed 90 minutes of Liverpool FC’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final in Madrid earlier this month.
Lovren finished the season with 13 starts and two substitute appearances in all competitions to raise questions about his future.
And Italian reporter Palmeri took to Twitter to quote a report from Sky Italia that claimed Milan want to sign Lovren.
Palmeri tweeted: “Liverpool have been contacted by Milan for Lovren, according to Sky Italy.”
And Italian outlet Gianluca Di Marzio appeared to corroborate Sky Italia‘s report following a report on Tuesday that Milan were keen on the World Cup finalist.
Liverpool FC signed Lovren in a £20m deal from Southampton in the 2014 summer transfer window.
