Insider warns Liverpool FC about Real Madrid interest in 25-year-old
Sky Sports News reporter Michael Bridge believes Real Madrid will rival Liverpool FC for the signature of Alisson Becker
Real Madrid are prepared to rival Liverpool FC for the signature of AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker, Michael Bridge has claimed.
The Reds are thought to be in the market to sign a top goalkeeper in the summer transfer window following Loris Karius’ nightmare in the Champions League final.
The German shot stopper inadvertently rolled the ball into the path of Karim Benzema to allow the Frenchman to break the deadlock in the second half in Kiev.
Sadio Mane equalised before Gareth Bale came off the bench to score an incredible overhead goal to restore Real Madrid’s narrow lead.
The Wales international’s long-range shot was parried into his own net by Karius to compound a miserable 90 minutes in European club football’s biggest game.
Liverpool FC have been regularly linked with a move to sign Alisson in a big money deal from AS Roma in the current transfer window.
Real Madrid are also in the market to sign a top goalkeeper amid continued doubts about Keylor Navas.
Sky Sports News reporter Bridge believes Real Madrid will contend for Alisson’s signature this summer.
“Real Madrid are ready to rival Liverpool FC for Alisson,” Bridge told the Transfer Talk podcast.
“Our colleagues at Sky Italy are saying Chelsea could go in for Alisson now.
“He is actually in London at Tottenham’s training ground training for Brazil. There will be a lot of talk about that.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to secure their continued participation in the Champions League.
