Reported Liverpool FC and Arsenal target discusses his future
Jan Oblak has admitted that he is unsure if he will still be an Atletico Madrid player next season or not

Jan Oblak has admitted that he isn’t sure whether he will still be at Atletico Madrid next season as he continued to be linked with the likes of Liverpool FC and Arsenal.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper has been touted as a target for both of the Premier League clubs, and has also been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid in recent months.
Liverpool FC are believed to be in the market for a new shot-stopper this summer, with Simon Mignolet’s long-term future at the club currently unclear.
Arsenal are also thought to be keeping an eye on potential goalkeeping options ahead of the summer transfer window as Petr Cech approaches the end of his career.
Now, Slovenia goalkeeper Oblak has admitted that he is not sure whether he will still be an Atletico Madrid player at the start of next season.
Oblak is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard: “It’s tough to discuss the future.
“It’s not easy to talk about what’s going to happen tomorrow never mind what will happen next season, but I am calm and the situation depends on Atletico – nobody knows the future.
“There’s nothing new, there have been a lot of things said and written about a new contract but the only confirmed situation is that there is nothing new.
“I have a contract that I signed two years ago, but now I must wait to see what Atleti’s plan is.”
Oblak has made 29 La Liga appearances for Atletico Madrid so far this season.
Arsenal will return to Premier League action after the international break when they host Stoke City at The Emirates.
Liverpool FC, meanwhile, will get back to top-flight affairs with a trip to Crystal Palace on 31 March.
