Liverpool FC to rival Tottenham for promising 21-year-old Bundesliga defender – report
Liverpool FC are interested in signing Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard in the summer transfer window, according to reports

Liverpool FC are keeping tabs to Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report in England.
The Daily Star, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Reds are interested in the 21-year-old Bundesliga defender ahead of the summer.
The same article states that Liverpool FC are hoping to find a long-term defensive partner for club record signing Virgil van Dijk.
The Reds spent £75m on the Netherlands international after Liverpool FC made the Southampton captain the most expensive defender in the world in January.
According to the same story, Stuttgart are reluctant to sell Pavard, who is thought to be attracting interest from Liverpool FC’s top-four rivals Tottenham.
The French defender has scored one goal in 26 appearances in the Bundesliga this term to establish himself as a key player under Stuttgart.
Pavard moved to Stuttgart from Ligue 1 side Lille in the 2016 summer transfer window and put pen to paper on a four-year contract.
Liverpool FC have rotated between Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip as Van Dijk’s defensive partner in the current campaign since Van Dijk’s arrival.
The Reds will welcome Watford to Anfield in their next Premier League game on Saturday afternoon.
