Journalist: Top 24-year-old would rather sign for Liverpool FC than Chelsea
Kaveh Solhekol claims that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would rather sign for Liverpool FC than Chelsea this summer

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would rather sign for Liverpool than Chelsea from Arsenal this summer, according to reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
The 24-year-old’s future has been a relentless source of speculation throughout the summer transfer window because the England midfielder has less than 12 months left to run on his current deal at The Emirates.
Chelsea and Liverpool have both been credited with an interest in signing Oxlade-Chamberlain before the transfer window drops shut on Thursday night.
However, according to Solhekol, Chelsea have agreed a fee with Arsenal for the 24-year-old, while Liverpool are yet to make an official bid.
Now, Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol is claiming that the England international would rather sign for Liverpool than Chelsea, but the Merseyside club are yet to make a concrete bid.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter on Tuesday night: “Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would prefer move to Liverpool from Arsenal but time running out. Chelsea have agreed fee. No Liverpool bid – yet.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain started for Arsenal against Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp’s men secured a thumping 4-0 victory over the Gunners at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.
The midfielder has started all three of Arsenal’s Premier League games so far this season, but the Gunners have suffered defeats by Stoke and Liverpool in their last two outings.
It remains to be seen whether Oxlade-Chamberlain will complete a move away from Arsenal before the transfer window closes on Thursday at 23:00 BST.
