Borussia Dortmund will sell Christian Pulisic if the Liverpool FC target indicates that he won’t sign a new deal with the Bundesliga side, according to German reporter Raphael Honigstein.
The United States international have been linked with a potential move to the Premier League on a regular basis since he broke into the Borussia Dortmund first-team.
Liverpool FC were the first English club to be touted with an interest in Pulisic, while Chelsea FC and Manchester United have been credited with an interest.
The American attacker has become a key player for Dortmund over the past season or so following Ousmane Dembele’s lucrative switch to FC Barcelona last summer.
Liverpool FC haven’t signed a replacement for Philippe Coutinho since the Brazil international completed a £142m move to the La Liga champions back in January.
Pulisic has 24 months left to run on his current deal and the Dortmund star hasn’t signed a new contract with the BVB so far this summer.
Bundesliga expert Honigstein ruled out Dortmund allowing Pulisic running down his contract at Westfalenstadion.
“Dortmund will be reluctant to allow Pulisic to run down his contract,” Honigstein told ESPN FC.
“They will make sure he is sold. Not necessarily this year. He has two years left.
