Liverpool FC target Stefan De Vrij has been told he can leave Lazio in the January transfer window, say reports
Stefan De Vrij has been told that he can leave Lazio in the January transfer window as he continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool FC, according to reports in Italy.
Radio Incontro Olympia, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is claiming that the Italian club have told the defender that he is free to move to a new club in the mid-season window, as long as their valuation is met.
The 25-year-old Netherlands defender has scored three goals in 16 Serie A appearances for Lazio so far this season.
The same report says that Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp is determined to bolster his defensive options in the mid-season transfer window.
The story says that De Vrij is currently valued at around £30m and that he is yet to agree a new deal with the Serie A side.
Virgil van Dijk is also touted as a possible target for Liverpool FC in the January transfer window in the same report.
Meanwhile, Klopp is currently preparing his squad for their home Premier League clash against Swansea City on Boxing Day as the Reds look to bounce back from their 3-3 draw with Arsenal at The Emirates on Friday.
