Steve Nicol urges Liverpool FC to sell 29-year-old
The Liverpool FC legend wants Jurgen Klopp to offload Dejan Lovren this summer

Steve Nicol has urged Liverpool FC to sell Dejan Lovren despite his World Cup performances.
The Reds have made some significant improvements to their squad over the past six months or so.
Liverpool FC signed Virgil van Dijk in a £75m deal from Premier League side Southampton in the January transfer window.
The Merseyside outfit made progress with Van Dijk marshalling defence as Liverpool FC reached the Champions League final.
Jurgen Klopp made Alisson Becker the most expensive goalkeeper in the world following a £67m deal from AS Roma.
Lovren has struggled in the Liverpool FC team since Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers signed the Croatian in 2014.
The Liverpool FC star declared himself one of the best centre-halves in the world after Croatia reached the World Cup final.
However, former Liverpool FC defender Nicol doesn’t believe the Reds should stick with Lovren in the Liverpool FC team.
“Did Lovren have a good World Cup?” Nicol told ESPN FC. “Yes he did.
“Did he make mistakes in the World Cup? Yes he did but nothing came of it.
“When he has a Liverpool shirt on and he makes mistakes, they’re howlers.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.
The Reds lost 3-1 to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev to miss out on sixth European Cup.
