Jurgen Klopp told 32-year-old would be perfect Liverpool FC signing
Liverpool FC legend Steve Nicol would love to see the Reds sign Diego Godin this summer

Liverpool FC should sign Diego Godin to complete their defensive makeover, Steve Nicol has claimed.
The Reds have managed to make vast improvements to their defence over the past 12 months or so.
Jurgen Klopp signed Scotland international Andy Robertson to replace Alberto Moreno at left-back.
The former Hull City defender has been a revelation since his £8m switch to the five-time European champions last summer.
On the other wing, England international Trent Alexander-Arnold has shown experience beyond his 19 years to establish himself as their first-choice right-back.
Klopp made Virgil van Dijk the most expensive defender in the world when Liverpool FC signed the Netherlands international in a £75m deal from Southampton back in January.
Last week, Liverpool FC spent a world record fee for a goalkeeper on AS Roma shot stopper Alisson Becker in a £67m transfer switch.
Croatia international Dejan Lovren is the only weak link left in Klopp’s defence, although he helped his national team to reach this summer’s World Cup final.
Former Liverpool FC defender Nicol would love to see experienced Atletico Madrid defender Godin move to the Anfield side.
“I would go get Godin,” Nicol told ESPN FC. “He has another couple of seasons left in him. He is an absolute leader.”
Godin has won the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey, the Europa League and Super Cup twice with Atletico.
