Jurgen Klopp expresses his delight at seeing Liverpool FC conclude a deal to sign Fabinho from Monaco

Jurgen Klopp has expressed his delight at seeing Liverpool FC complete a deal to sign Fabinho from Monaco as their first summer signing.
The Brazil international is set to join the Reds from Monaco on a long-term deal after the move was confirmed on Sunday evening.
Fabinho will officially become a Liverpool FC player on 1 July after the Reds agreed a fee with Monaco believed to be in the region of around £43m.
The 24-year-old has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and he has been touted as a target for Arsenal in the past.
And Klopp has expressed his delight at seeing Liverpool FC complete their first signing of the summer by bringing the Brazilian to Anfield.
Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC’s website after the transfer was confirmed, Klopp said: “We have signed a fantastic player, but someone who is an equally fantastic person I think.
“His reputation as a character in the dressing room and his attitude in training has come through from everyone we speak to.
“He has ability and mentality to play at the highest level in a number of positions. He can play ‘6’, ‘8’ and ‘2’. This is cool.
“He is tactically very strong and football smart. I think he improves our squad and there aren’t that many players you can say that about in this moment, because the quality we have already is so high.”
Liverpool FC, who finished fourth in the Premier League, are likely to start looking for a number of other players this summer as they bid to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
The Reds slumped to a disappointing 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev on Saturday as they missed the chance to win their first trophy under Klopp.
