Gary Neville: I’m surprised Liverpool FC haven’t made these two signings
The Man United legend can't believe Liverpool FC haven't signed a new goalkeeper and a new centre-half

Gary Neville admits he is really surprised Liverpool haven’t signed a new centre-half and a goalkeeper.
The Merseyside outfit suffered a chastening 4-1 loss to top-four rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Sunday afternoon to leave their title ambition in tatters.
Liverpool have conceded 16 times in nine games in the Premier League this season to raise serious questions about their defence after missing out Southampton club captain Virgil van Dijk in the summer transfer window.
The Reds have been linked with a whole host of centre-halves over the past two or three seasons but Klopp ended up signing Joel Matip on a free transfer before snapping up Ragnar Klavan in a £4.7m deal.
The Merseyside outfit have stuck with Simon Mignolet in goal and Dejan Lovren in the centre of their back four over the past three seasons despite clear defensive problems.
Former Manchester United defender Neville admitted that he is staggered Klopp hasn’t signed a new goalkeeper and a new centre-half to strengthen his spine since taking over the reins.
“It really is surprising that over the past two seasons, Liverpool haven’t bought a fantastic centre-half and goalkeeper to correct what has been an issue,” Neville told Sky Sports.
Liverpool signed one defender in the summer transfer window after Klopp brought in Scotland international Andy Robertson in an £8m deal from Hull City.
The Reds are in ninth place in the Premier League table.
