The Arsenal legend tips Liverpool FC to challenge Manchester City for the title next term

Ian Wright believes Liverpool FC will be in a position to challenge Manchester City next season with a couple of summer signings.
The Reds have impressed in Jurgen Klopp’s second full season in charge of the Anfield outfit after he took over the reins from Brendan Rodgers back in October 2015.
Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League table and two points adrift of second-placed Manchester United in the race to secure a Champions League spot this term.
The Reds are 18 points behind runaway leaders Manchester City in the title race to leave Klopp with some ground to make up ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
Only Manchester City have scored more times than Liverpool FC’s 73 goals this season to highlight the Merseyside outfit’s attacking prowess under Klopp.
The Reds finished in second place in the top-flight table in 2002, 2009 and 2014 but Liverpool FC have never won the Premier League title.
Former Arsenal striker Wright believes Liverpool FC need a couple of more additions to challenge for the title next term.
“A couple of key signings, I think Liverpool will be ready to challenge Man City,” Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live.
RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita is set to move to Liverpool FC in a £48m deal in the summer transfer window after the two clubs agreed to a deal in 2017.
