Liverpool FC eye a potential move to sign Fluminense forward Joao Pedro from under the nose of Watford, according to a report
Liverpool FC have submitted an enquiry to sign Fluminense forward Joao Pedro, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Merseyside outfit have made their interest known in the 17-year-old as Liverpool FC looks to add some youth to their squad.
The same article states that Pedro has already reached an agreement with Premier League side Watford that will see the teenager moved to Vicarage Road in a £2m deal in January 2020.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC could avail of a loophole that says Watford will have to be paid £20m if the forward’s proposed move to the Hornets doesn’t go through.
The report goes on to say that the Reds have sent scouts to watch Pedro in action and the Fluminense talent impressed members of Jurgen Klopp’s scouting team.
The Daily Mail report adds that Liverpool FC’s bitter rivals Manchester United have also shown an interest in the Brazilian teenager.
Liverpool FC are bound to be linked with a host of players in the summer as Klopp looks to add more depth to an already impressive unit at the Merseyside club.
The Reds will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final in Madrid next weekend as Liverpool FC look to win the competition for the first time since 2005.
