Jurgen Klopp given £20m to spend on new Liverpool FC signing – report
Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp will have a limited budget to spend on a back-up striker this summer, according to a report

Jurgen Klopp has been given a mere £20m to spend on a new back-up striker in the summer transfer window, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mirror, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Liverpool FC board have given Klopp limited funds to spend on signing a player capable of providing cover for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
The same article states that Liverpool FC have played down interest in Lille winger Nicolas Pepe despite speculation suggesting the Reds had made contact with the French club.
According to the same story, Klopp is eager to bring in quality back-up for his strikers, especially given that Mane and Salah are in action at the Africa Cup of Nations and Roberto Firmino is playing in Brazil’s Copa America campaign.
The report adds that the German head coach is planning to integrate youngsters such as Rhian Brewster into the first-team squad more throughout the 2019-20 Premier League season.
Liverpool FC completed their first summer signing last week after Sepp van den Berg completed a switch to the Champions League winners from the Eredivisie.
The Reds were 2-0 winners against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final in Baku earlier this month after Liverpool FC finished in second place behind Manchester City in the title race.
