Strootman has been a regular fixture in the Roma team so far this season, and has scored one goal in 15 Serie A appearances for the Italian side.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are currently preparing for their crunch Premier League showdown against leaders Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday afternoon in what will be their first game without Coutinho since his exit.
