Liverpool FC ‘dreaming’ of signing French World Cup winner – report
Liverpool FC are keen on a deal to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports
Liverpool FC are “dreaming” of signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Reds see the potential signing of the 20-year-old as the club’s “ultimate ambition”.
World Cup winner Mbappe is widely regarded as one of European football’s top attacking talents and he has scored 11 goals and made four assists for PSG in all competitions this season.
The article claims that a transfer fee similar or larger to the £130m PSG paid to sign Mbappe from Monaco would be required to sign the young France international.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC want to target the top young talent in world football and that makes Mbappe the perfect signing for the Merseyside outfit.
Whether there is any truth to the reports remains to be seen, but Liverpool FC’s fine form in recent months would surely allow them to attract some top players to Anfield.
The Reds are currently eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table as they prepare for their home clash against Brighton and Hove Albion in the top flight on Saturday afternoon.
The Merseyside outfit have only dropped two points in the Premier League this season to leave them as the heavy favourites to win the title.
